For colleges and career services

Help your engineering students land AI roles.

Your students are graduating into a job market where AI engineering roles require RAG, agent orchestration, and LLM evaluation skills — not LeetCode. Velocode is the first interview prep platform built for this gap. Now accepting founding partner applications for Fall 2026.

AI engineering hiring has shifted. Your career services tools haven't.

Career services teams are working with platforms designed for 2019 software engineering interviews. Meanwhile, your top students are interviewing for roles that didn't exist two years ago.

I Reviewed 50 Failed AI Hires From 2025

A Series B startup spent six months recruiting a Senior AI/ML Engineer from a FAANG company. Three weeks in, the CTO asked them to implement a basic data pipeline. The engineer couldn't do it. Not "did it poorly" — literally couldn't write the code.

How to Hire AI Engineers in 2026: Complete Staffing Guide

The average fill time for AI roles dropped to 25 days because smart companies have figured out that a drawn-out process is the same as a rejection. If your interview timeline stretches past three weeks, you are almost certainly losing people to someone who moved faster.

The AI-native interview

We removed our coding and algorithms interviews and replaced them with an AI-native onsite. The role is shifting from building the machine to designing and honing it.

These aren't just industry articles — they're the conditions your engineering students are graduating into. Velocode is the response: the platform built specifically to prepare students for the AI engineering interview as it actually exists, not the LeetCode interview it used to be.

What Velocode provides to partner schools

Real interview questions

Every problem reported from a real interview at a verified AI company. No hypotheticals.

⚙️

Production scoring + golden answers

Students get scored on correctness, architecture, efficiency, and security — with the golden answer revealed after every submission.

📊

Career services dashboard

Real-time analytics on student usage, score progression, and struggle areas. Outcome data you can share with your team and your dean.

ROI for your career services team

Career services budgets get cut when they can't prove impact. Velocode gives your team the metrics that protect your funding.

Placement rate evidence

Schools with strong technical interview prep see measurable placement-rate lifts — Northeastern, Bentley, and Worcester Polytechnic all attribute their 95%+ placement rates partially to integrated career services tooling. Velocode's dashboard gives you the per-domain data to show your dean what's working.

Retention you can quantify

The “cost of inaction” model used at the University of South Florida shows that retaining just 10 at-risk students protects $250K in tuition revenue. Velocode's struggle-area analytics let you intervene with engineering students before they fall behind — not after.

AI Readiness compliance

EducationDynamics' 2026 reporting framework now requires “AI Readiness” metrics in institutional reports. Velocode generates the data your accreditation team needs — which students are AI-trained, which domains, and how their skills compare to industry benchmarks.

What your team can see, in real time

Your dean wants outcomes, not activities. Your dashboard gives you both — broken down by domain, by cohort, and by individual student where it matters.

Common questions from career services teams

If anything else comes up, the inquiry form below goes to a real human on our team.

What does this cost?
Pricing is customized per school based on enrollment size and program scope. Reach out and we'll send a tailored proposal.
Do students pay anything?
No. Students at partner schools get full Velocode Pro access at no cost to them. The school covers it as part of career services.
Do you contact our students directly?
Never. We don't sell student data or run any direct-to-student marketing. Your career services team owns the relationship with students.
Is there a long-term contract?
Founding partner pilots run for one semester. After the pilot, you can renew, extend the pilot, or opt out. No auto-renewal.
What kind of dashboard does our team get?
Real-time analytics on student usage, problems attempted, score progression, and the topics where your students are struggling most. Useful for advising and curriculum decisions, not just reporting.
