1. Overview

Velocode AI (“Velocode”, “we”, “us”) is an AI engineering interview preparation platform operated by Sanjna Agrawal, New York, NY. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use velocode.ai.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Account information

When you sign up via Google or GitHub OAuth through Clerk, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. We store your email and name in our database to power your profile and send you relevant communications.

2.2 Usage data

We collect information about how you use the platform: which problems you attempt, your submission scores, simulator session transcripts, notes you save, and your activity on the leaderboard. This data is used to personalise your experience and improve the product.

2.3 Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full credit card number. Stripe stores payment information under their own privacy policy. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.

2.4 Communications

If you contact us at hello@velocode.ai, we retain that correspondence.

2.5 Technical data

We collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. We use Vercel Analytics for aggregated, anonymised traffic analytics. We use FingerprintJS to detect fraudulent account creation — this data is not shared with third parties.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Provide and personalise the Velocode platform
• Score your submissions and generate golden answers
• Send transactional emails (score notifications, payment confirmations) via Resend
• Send onboarding and engagement emails via Loops.so
• Detect and prevent fraud and abuse
• Improve our scraping pipeline and problem quality
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data to train AI models without your explicit consent.

We use these third-party services to operate the platform:

• Clerk (clerk.com) — Authentication and user management
• Supabase (supabase.com) — Database and file storage
• Stripe (stripe.com) — Payment processing
• Anthropic (anthropic.com) — AI scoring and golden answer generation
• OpenAI (openai.com) — Embeddings and golden answer tournament
• Vercel (vercel.com) — Hosting and infrastructure
• Resend (resend.com) — Transactional email
• Loops.so (loops.so) — Marketing email sequences
• Apify (apify.com) — Web scraping pipeline
• E2B (e2b.dev) — Sandboxed code execution

Each service operates under its own privacy policy. Your submission code runs in isolated E2B sandboxes with no network access and is deleted after 30 seconds.

5. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Anonymised, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Opt out of marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email
• Export your submission history and notes

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (Clerk session cookies). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings but this will prevent you from signing in.

8. Children

Velocode is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact hello@velocode.ai immediately.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email and by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
